Tackling Child Sexual Abuse – Week of Action
The Tackling Child Sexual Abuse Week of Action is running from 28th September 2026 – 2nd October 2026 and is open to professionals and volunteers who are members of, or work within, Manchester Safeguarding Partnership agencies, including children’s social care, education, health, police, early help, voluntary and community organisations, youth justice.

Child Sexual Abuse – Core Foundation Session

Understanding Sexualised Behaviour in Children

To develop practitioners’ understanding of sexualised behaviour in children and young people, enabling them to distinguish between developmentally expected and concerning behaviours, respond appropriately, and make informed safeguarding decisions.
Wednesday 30th September

To strengthen practitioners’ understanding of multi-agency roles, responsibilities and decision-making processes during child sexual abuse investigations, promoting coordinated and effective safeguarding responses.
Understanding the Forensic Process and SARC
13:30-15:00 In-person
Venue: Friends Meeting House
To improve understanding of the forensic and medical response following child sexual abuse, including the role of Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs), so practitioners can support children and families confidently throughout the process.
Thursday 1st October
